The 1500th 747 goes to Lufthansa

Enough said. She'll be line 1500 (RC035) D-ABYP.

Line 1479 (RC525) JA15KZ for Nippon Cargo Airlines entered long term storage at Pinal Airpark. Thanks to Piotrek_ for the sequence of her leaving KPAE today.

    1. Nothing solid. Boeing recently said they have a lot in the works for the 747, but who knows.

    1. I thought so at first too, but on a flight line shot http://www.flickr.com/photos/microvolt/9188294471/ from 3 days earlier it shows line 1482 unpainted without engines. There's no way they could have painted her that fast. I'm not sure which frame that could be. Did 1463 sneak out of storage? Is it an earlier -8 or -400?

    2. It does look like RC605 is painted, but that means the frame in stall 110 must be a Cathay frame and they're still rolling em out at about 2 frames a month.
