Denial is a river in Eygpt.

Welcome to February 2021, a strange start to an already strange year.

The market's talk of no quad jet is getting ridiculously out of hand. The almost celebrated status of the twin jet design configuration is bordering on religiosity and irresponsibility. Twins are good, but they can't do everything. Look at the cargo market right now, new operators are scrambling to get 747's put back in the Air, because there are so few of them, and the builder is talking of chopping the program, because it believes it is a waste of resources.

Factually speaking of course, it is their twin jet fervor and rush to market, that has put them in this hole right now, and the quad has had nothing to do with it. If they are complaining that the quad is trash, it is because they 'under-scoped' its program by not letting it have sufficient resources, due to their tardy management of some carbonaraliner, that changed the market NOT because it is a good airplane.

It is this culture that caused the MAX to be a failure, and it is a cancer on the company, that built a truck as the flagship of its line, a move that worked and has made them what they are today. That quad is the plane that made them a household name, it is the subject of so many films, books, games, toys, model kits, and even gets a mention in music. It is a cultural icon. On here somewhere some architect says it is his favorite building.

This icon brought the world together at a time when other aerospace companies were talking ICBM's.

That BCA has failed to take into account 'the intangible' aspects of this quad jet, is literally, just par for the course really, but its the Airlines that are really to blame for how horrible the experience of flying has become. They say, you get what you pay for, forgetting the fact that the customer literally cannot choose which plane to fly on and there are even people who go to great lengths to do just that.

If anything killed the queen faster, it is the denial that there is a place for it somewhere, the incredible lengths gone to lie about that and those dogmas being invented to cover the lies up.
