Lufthansa is getting a bit crazy with the Cheese Whiz, painting some of their aircraft to celebrate the upcoming World Cup. The first is line 1499 (RC034) D-ABYO:
747-8 activity at KPAE is sloooooooooooooowwwww right now. Not much to talk about. Line 1501 rolled out last night and it doesn't look like she's going to SilkWay based off the color of her rudder.

why is silk way back in paint? whats up with its 3rd? frame..... is it no longer going to silk way?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately these are questions without answers at the moment. Apparently there's very little 747 activity at KPAE scheduled for the next month, so we might have to wait a while to find out.
DeleteYa, there was some speculation that perhaps GECAS may have swapped slots with Silk Way, thus then making the question who would the GECAS frames be going to. However, as you said, it is all just more questions.
DeleteInterestingly, Air China LN 1499 is sitting around KPAE looking all shiny in her bare aluminum. She had gone into paint, only to come out looking like that, so there is an open question as to why, although it may be something as innocuous as the time allocations for the paint hangar.
Other happenings include D-ABYN showing up at the ILA Berlin Air Show, and getting christened while she was there in a nice ceremony with some big wigs!
